Jewish vital records in Catholic registers? #austria-czech

Philip Moravcik <morav@...>

I have heard that records of Jewish births, deaths, and maybe marriages
were sometimes recorded in the registers of the local Catholic parish in
which the community lived. I spent many happy hours in the archives in
Prague looking for records of my ancestors but was disappointed to find
the record quite incomplete. I am interested in trying the Catholic
registers and wonder if anyone has had any success finding Jewish
ancestors records in these, and could tell me how to go about finding the
right registers (where are they archived?).

Thank you.
