David Rosen, a member of the Immigrant Ships
Transcribers Guild, Boston has given me permission to
send details of his research to our group.

In 1940, two British passenger ships, the "Nova
Scotia" and the "Newfoundland" made eleven Atlantic
crossings >from Liverpool, carrying 1,052 passengers to
their Boston, Massachusetts destination.

Most of the passengers were Germans, Austrians,
Czechoslovakians and Poles fleeing >from the Nazis -
and 888 were registered as Jews.

David has contributed transcriptions of the full
passenger lists to the Immigrant Ships Transcribers
Guild <>

They may be found in Volume 8 at:

I was amazed at the amount of family data available on
these transcripts - I have already found many Viennese
refugees and their relatives.

Thank you David.
