I don't understand the problems people are hjaving with GEDCOM files. If you have a decent program it will explain how you import or export Gedcom files. It is not a dificult thing to do. I always put the GEDCOM file on a disk and in that I'm able to move the onformation anywhere I want it. If your stell have problems let me know and let me know the program you are using and I;ll do my best to figure it out for you.
By they way...I, too, want to state that the summer seminar held last week in NYC was absolutely fantastic. Hats of the New York City's Jewish Genealogical Society. You're going to be a tough act to follow.
