Does anyone remember an organization called "Medical Alliance -
Association of Jewish Physicians >from Poland." It was formed in New
York during the last years before World War 2 to become a
professional and social haven for newly arrived physicians >from
Poland. The organization extended aid to physicians arriving in the
US after the war. In 1963 the Memorial Book Committee formed by the
organization published the volume "The Martyrdom of Jewish Physicians
in Poland." The editor of the volume was Dr Louis Falstein. It was
published by Exposition Press in New York. The volume includes a
necrology listing approximately 2800 matryred physicians (with
biographical sketches). >>>SNIP

I believe this Association published a medical journal called * Medical
Leaves* (some of the volumes are in our hospital library).
