Re: New Haven, CT, Vital Records - how long to wait? #general

The best way to obtain vital records for Connecticut is to go to
< http://vitalrec.com > which is the United States Vital Statistics site.
Click on "c" for Connecticut, then follow instructions. Forms for
births, deaths, marriages can be downloaded >from the site, or you can
simply read instructions and send a letter. Sending queries to the towns
can be very slow; Town Clerks all over the state do their best, but
often are short-handed and genealogy is not their number one priority.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes the New Haven, CT, Vital Records
staff? I sent a request to them two months ago, for a copy of a death
certificate. So far, no response.
