The Museum of the City of New York is presenting an exhibit
showing the present condition of the buildings on the south
side of Ellis Island. "Forgotten Gateway: The Abandoned
Buildings of Ellis Island" consists of photographs by Larry
Racioppo and is on view through February 13.
There is also a panel discussion this Tuesday, Jan 18, at 6pm
-- "Planning Ellis Island's Future". The Museum is closed to
the public Tuesdays, but if you arrive early you may be able
to sneak upstairs to see the exhibit (at least you could last
week before another discussion). Enter on 104th St.
The Museum is at Fifth Ave and 103rd St.
