Can anyone help me interpret an annotation on the passenger list for a boat
that docked in New York City on June 9, 1903? The ship was the Rotterdam,
of the Holland-American lines.
Near to the passenger's name was the following annotation:
2x - 78306 505 (C.O. 205 - 2/25/39)
I understand that these annotations were usually made when the passenger
list was checked at the time of the naturalization of the person involved.
The above naturalization appeared to have taken place in 1939.
Can anyone interpret the above numbers? Can these help me to find the
naturalization documents of this person (who was a woman)?
