I have recently learned that an ancestor, born about 1815, in Opoczno had the surname EICHENBAUM or EICHENHOLC (maybe with "j" or "y" for the "i").
Since this was at the time surnames were made mandatory in Poland, and this is a German name, would to be a valid assumption to make that the family was
