Hebrew name equivalents #general

Foodphile@...

While we all realize that there are no set equivalents to Hebrew names,
it can be very helpful to know the original names of other peoples
ancestors, and the names they wound up using. Thanks to the kind people
who emailed me, I now know that my great aunt Ida might have been Chaya
or Yehudis (Yehudith, Yudith) before emigrating. This will make searching
Passenger Arrival films far less tedious.
