Cremieux Decree, Algerian Jews were French (and even sooner due to a decree of 1865) and came mostly to France after Algeria became independant. That is why documents concerning Jews in Algeria must be asked in France. To : Service de l'Etat Civil du Ministere des Affaires Etrangeres 44941 Nantes Cedex 9, France Unfortunatly they frequently make a lot of trouble before answering to written questions, and all registers have not been microfilmed. You can also try, if you exactly know the dates and place, to write directly in Algerian Offices (Assemblées communales populaires) with international coupons for reply, but it is not sure you will have any answer. For people who were not included in Cremieux Decree (for instance because they migrated later to Algeria >from Europe) there was an "Algerian naturalization" (that means French Naturalization in Algeria). These naturalization files are kept as all naturalization documents in CARAN (French National Archives) 11, rue des Quatre-Fils 75003 Paris, France An other suggestion is that you insert your question on our website, maybe somebody will know the people you are looking for.
