"Uscher" looks like a Yiddish dialectical variant of Osher, which might
account for "Ojzer." I don't know about "Ejzer," and in general I can't
place the digraph "jz." It's not in German, Polish, or Hungarian. Perhaps
it's a clumsy transliteration of a Yiddish phoneme, oyts or eits.
