that Weinsteins >from Chicago all pronounce it that way and Weinsteins

from New York pronounce it to rhyme with "fine bean". Everyone I have

ever met >from New York mispronounces my name. Don't know if this adds to
Scott Meyer's thesis, but some of our linguistic readers might have an
idea.
