I have come across an "Iro" whose Hebrew name was Uri, the pronouncing of
his name did not differ much >from "Eira", it is possible that this "Eira"
chose to have his name pronounced in a slightly different matter, and it
very possibly too was Uri.
I have always found interesting that most of the "Ira's" I know of have
been "Yitzchok's" and not "Uri's" and though I have learned >from long
experience that Secular names nowadays often have no relation to the Hebrew
name, I wonder if others have found this to be the case as well. I suppose
that the hypothesis would be that Isaac becomes Ira....
