I have discovered the same with our surname, PERSOV. [nepcob in
Russian) This family is Catholic too.
The grandfather immigrated to the U.S.A. (in or befor 1918). There
is no info on a ship's name.
They do not know the names of their grand father's parents, nor their
extanded familiy.
For the town/village's name in Ukraine that is/was their home, they
have three different names (on different documents):
BEREZHANY, VOLINSKA, & DOMANENKA).
No other information about their origins.

We could not establish family links, but, there is some facial
resemblance between their males and some of ours.

It is a riddle that we are very anxious to solve.

If any of you have an idea, I will be very grateful to get it.
