In the late 1800's, Lithuania had long since ceased to exist. After WWI
it was part of Lithuania, then Poland. The Russians marched in in 1941 and
annexed it. With the break-up of the Soviet Union it became part of
Belaruss. Vilna is the Jewish name for Vilniush
