I recently received the death certificate of my great-great grandmother.
Given name maybe Ruth, or Rochel,, or Rucha.
Maiden name >from a hand written (not documented) family tree >from a
Her married name was VOSKOV, in the USA it changed to WOSKOFF.
On the death certificate, on the column for father, name is "Gitomerck".
Does this make any sense to anyone?
Is it just a poor rendition of a name that was forgotten?
Does this look at all like a given name or surname?
(Maiden name up to now had been probably ZHETONOVSKY).
The family's last residence before leaving for the USA was Boslov, Ukraine?
thanks for any help.
