Re: Novaya Ushitsa, Ukraine #general

Dear JewishGen:

Does anyone know the name of the Polish nobleman who owned the lands
in the 18th century that today constitute the town of Novaya Ushitsa,
Khmelnitsky Oblast? This town, prior to the 1830's, was called
Litnowcze (in Yiddish, Litnovitz). The town is NE of Kamenets Podolsk.

It has been suggested that the surname of the nobleman may have been
Potocki, pronounced Pototski. Can anyone confirm or contradict this?
