Rare books and Einstein family tree #general

Carlos Glikson

Ruth Ross asked about the book on Einstein's family tree called "Stambaum
des Herren Professor Albert Einstein" by Rabbi Aron Tänzer, 1930, Göppingen
(Göttingen?) which she imagined "is out of print and probably has been for
many years. " Although I did not get a hit for this book this time, I would
like to mention there is a useful webpage with a worldwide database of the
holdings of many booksellers of "rare, used, and out-of-print books" . A
search at
http://www.abebooks.com/
with "Tänzer" for author did not come up with this book in this case, but
there were 167 books by different Tanzers in different bookstores,
including a book in German on subjects of Jewish interest by A. Tanzer
published in Berlin, 1903. I did no further check to confirm it is the same
author.

A search in
www.google.com
for "einstein family tree" led to
http://pup.princeton.edu/TOCs/c6908.html
about "The Expanded Quotable Einstein" collected and edited by Alice
Calaprice, said to include the EINSTEIN Family Tree starting on page xxxi

Hope this helps!
