I have a fellow who gave his place of birth (upon Naturalization)
as Sokolovka. However, on his manifest, S.S. Friesland, arriving
in Philadelphia >from Liverpool on 13 June 1908, his place of birth
appears to be "Justinigrad." It is written three times on the manifest,
last residence, address of brother, and as place of birth. It ends in
"grad" for sure, but the rest is uncertain. Judging >from other entries
on the page I think the first letter is "J".
Lois,

Sokolovka is a "new" name for Justingrad.
Location: 4902 3009 North of Uman on the main road # M20 direction Belaya
Tserkov and Kiev.
