If Bouchara=Bukhara, then it's a city in Uzbekistan and one of the
historic centers of the Silk Road.

PS: It's also important to Jewish history in one small way: the court
musicians there were traditionally Jewish. Many of the Jews of Bukhara
now live in Forest Hills, Queens, including many of the current
generations of musicians. Ted Levin's book (with CD!) _The Hundred
Thousand Fools of God: Musical Travels in Central Asia and Queens, NY_
(Nebraska) discusses these people and their music in fascinating detail.
