I finally began "listening," after many years of hearing a simple
explanation of my ancestor's journey to the U.S.A.
I am searching for Harris/Harry KLEIN/KLINE, a Russian born 1850
(or so) that is said to have left Russia as a "young man" to avoid
military conscription. He may have traveled to anywhere to avoid
detection and then boarded the ship that carried him to freedom.
Do you know of where I might find a listing of ships carrying
passengers >from through Canada to a North Dakota port in 1880 or
thereabouts?
