Palestine Post 1932-1950 editions on-line #general

Carlos Glikson

Bernard Rosinsky's mail mentions "son David (Kahn) was the publisher of
Haaretz", the senior Hebrew daily in Palestine. My far uncle Moshe
Glikson/Glickson was the editor of Haaretz for 15 years since 1922. I did
not receive an answer >from Haaretz yet to my single info request and still
did not insist, but I did >from *the competition* - info published some 70
years ago.

Jacqueline Waldstein Schwab posted the link to the old editions of The
Palestine Post online. The newspaper has been scanned and indexed by The
Laura Schwarz-Kipp Institute for Advanced Technologies in the Humanities, at
the Tel Aviv University.

It is searchable by keyword for 1932-1950. I thought I should share the URL
with the group again in case it was missed.

I found many mentions about Moshe Glikson, the editor of competing newspaper
Haaretz, including his Zionist group leadership, his publications, his
editorial activities, the temporary closing of Haaretz by the British
because of its editorial policies, the trafffic accident that led to his
early death, Mr. Ben Gurion's visit to the hospital, news titled with the
10000 persons assisting to the funeral, his obituary, his biography, the
news of Kfar Glikson being named in his memory. Plus mentions of artistic
presentations and different mentions of other Glikson/Glicksons - related,
still un-related, or to be determined!

Hope these links help in your searches! If any of you have information on
the Israel Gliksons/ Glicksons, I will be very grateful to those writing
privately to me.
