Naturalization of toddlers #general
phyllis forman <fill4man@...>
My grandmother came to the USA as a toddler, had no memory of any other
country, went to school in Boston, spoke with a thick "Boston accent" -
and she had assumed that she was an American citizen - she assumed that
she became a citizen when her father did. It was *not* the case - afraid
of being deported, during WWII (she was born in "Russia"), she became a
citizen on her own.
