Re: IKG Records #austria-czech

I do not know why we are suddenly talking about the IKW, which is an industrial
trade association dealing with soaps, detergents and cosmetics etc:

IKW Industrieverband Korperpflege- und Waschmittel e.V.
German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association (IKW)

The correct term is IKG = Israelitische Kultusgemeinde:

BTW, as far as I know only the Vienna vital records ie BMD, were in
control/duplicate form, so the multitude of others [many topics] must be
originals filmed recently. There are apparently now 551 records available.

As for Peter Lowe's suggestion that it would be cheaper to go to Salt Lake City
- assuming you look at only 450 films and take an hour over each one, that
would require three months or more in a hotel and an eight-hour day. And there
is the air fare and the food as well. There must be a better way, ie free
access to the films at a Centre in Vienna, would be my dream come true. And
should this really be a dream? After all, they are our records and do not
belong to the FHL.
