My mother told me that my grandfather was in the Austro-Hungarian army at
one time during the mid to late 19th Century. Does anyone know if there are
records of this and how to obtain them. I believe his name was Lebe EISEN.
I don't know what it would have been translated into German or Polish. He
came >from a small towh called Tuchne which is now in the Ukraine.
