I just found out today >from my father that my grandparents came through
Canada and then to the U.S. (Chicago, Ill.)

What is the National Archives S. Albans list?

Is anyone else having trouble finding ancestors who came to Canada (I
assume Montreal) and then to the U.S? My grandfather, Harry Lome, is
not on the National Archives St. Albans list. Is there any other
obvious source that I am missing?
