I am new to researching genealogy and so I beg your
indulgence to my perhaps simplistic question: I know
about the data base at Ellis Island but as I
understand it, this data base only contains
information about immigrants entering the US through
the Port of New York. Where can I find similiar data
bases for other US Ports of Entry such as Boston and
Baltimore?

Perhaps the groups responses will be of interest to
other beginners.
