May 15 JGS North Jersey Meeting #general

Paul & Myrna Lewis <pmlewis@...>

The May 15, 2003 meeting of the Jewish Genealogical Society of North Jersey
will be a presentation by Arlene Radansky of what will be available at the
23rd annual conference of the International Association of Jewish
Genealogical Societies. It will be held in Washington DC, >from Sunday July
20 till Friday July 25.

Arlene has been a member of the Wayne JGS for many years, and has been
researching family in Poland and Moldova. She has been assisting JewishGen
in several of their translating and database projects. Because of her
contacts with the planners of the Washington conference, she will be able to
give us the inside scoop on the exciting lectures and tours. Also being
discussed will be how and where to do genealogical research in the
Washington area, during and after the conference.

The JGS meetings are held at the YM-YWHA of North Jersey, 1 Pike Drive,
Wayne, NJ. The Charles & Bessie Goldman Library will be open at 7 P.M. to
give those interested a chance to use our extensive resource center and
socialize. The program will begin at 8 P.M. There is no charge for the
program and all are welcome.

Next meeting will be Thursday June 19: Obtaining Records >from Foreign
Countries
