my paternal grandparents arrived in NY (>from Russia)
in 1904 they lived in relatives (reportedly) in NY upon their
arrival.
Unfortunately, I don't have any names.
In trying to find information on the 1905 and 1910 NY
census, I need an ED number.

question:
has anyone tried this route successfully, without
knowing an address *first*?

if so, what tips would you offer?

I don't know any relatives to ask, unfortunately.
