Dear Folks,

One of my relatives (Menachem-Mendel "Max" EPSTEIN) was said to have been
born in Slonim on the day of "The Great Fire," in 1862.

I know there were a number of fires set on Jewish property during those
times, but with the appellation "great" I wonder if it was a fire that
consumed, say, large sections of the city. Does anyone know anything about
this?
