Benjamin KLANG of NYC #general

lasser3 <lasser3@...>

Dear Friends:

Benjamin KLANG was a first cousin of my grandmother, Ruth
(Rissa) FEIL EISENBERG. Both were born in Hrubieszow, Poland.
I have found Benjamin's passenger manifest (SS Rotterdam,
leaving Europe on 8 June 1921). Benjamin gives my great-
grandfather, Chaim FEIL, as his old country contact, and
his sister Sura KWITEL of Brooklyn as the relative he is
going to join.

Other than the passenger manifest, I have been completely
unable to find Benjamin in the US. The index to the 1930
US Census (thank you, Steven Morse) doesn't include him as
far as I have been able to ascertain. The other information
I have was that Benjamin KLANG was married to Sara and had a
son. He may have been the "KLIANK, Benjamin" born 1890 in
Hrubieszow, according to the JRI-Poland index.

If you have any knowledge of either Benjamin KLANG or his
sister Sura KWITEL, I would appreciate hearing >from you.

Sincerely,
Martha Eisenberg Lasser
