WW II - Camps for German citizens in France #general

Rony <golanron@...>

Dear friends,

I am seeking information about transfer of German population >from Germany to
Alsace (France) in 1943 and the faith of those who were transferred.

I am especially interested in the town of Epinal.

The information I am seeking is: general information, causes of transfer,
was the transfer copulsory, who determined who will be transferred, how
was it determined, how did the French treated these people at the end of
the War and what was their faith.

If a German died there, where can I trace death information (was it recorded
by the French authorities ? Can I get a copy ?) and where and how can I
trace burial information.

Thanks for any help.
