friends to our January meeting.

Session 1 of a 3-Session Mini-Course in Jewish Genealogy

This is the first of three meetings devoted to a review of fundamental
procedures and resources for doing Jewish genealogy. (The 2nd & 3rd sessions
will be in February and March.) Ron Doctor and other members of JGSO will
teach the three session mini-course. Our text will be JGSO's "Getting Started
in Jewish Genealogy: A Handbook for Beginners, with Supplementary Information
for Advanced Research", so bring your copy to the meeting. Bring pencil and
paper too, so that you will be able to do some of the hands-on exercises.
And, bring your questions. The Handbook will be available at the meeting.
It is free to new members with paid membership, $12 to members in
good standing, and $18 to non-members.
This event is FREE to JGSO members. Contributions at the door of $2 door are
requested >from non-members to help us defray the meeting cost. Contribution
can be deducted >from new membership if you join that evening.
The all new JGSO CD-Rom will debut at the January meeting. It is packed with
useful information to help you with your genealogy. Watch your e-mail inbox
