JGS Pittsburgh May Meeting

This month's meeting will explore the resources of the office of the Allegheny
County Register of Wills. The Register of Wills is an officer of the court and
has an office of the same name where all probate in PA is recorded. In
Pennsylvania, everything having to do with estates is handled in the Register of
Wills' office. Our guest speakers will be Marty Madigan, Chief Deputy, and his
supervisor, Tom Molyneaux. They will talk about Inheritance taxes and wills, but
their office is also the repository for early birth and marriage records for the
