I stand corrected on the Kishinev pogroms, of which there were two, April
6-7, 1903, and October 19th -- 20th, 1905. My relative Ephraim Belkin, a
young boy at the time, was killed in the first pogrom, struck by a rock
while standing in a bread line (although his name does not appear on the
list of the dead I found on-line.) Burt Hecht very diplomatically referred
