My greatgrandfather Joseph CORAK (born about 1869/1870) and his brother
Meyer (Morris) (born about 1867) came to U.S. via London on or about 1875.
We believe they came with their parents Simon CORAK and Nettie MARINOWITZ
CORAK. Simon and Nettie we believe came >from Russia (but we do not know
name of a city).
The arrival dates for Joseph and Morris came >from Census data.
Simon and Nettie may have married in London in early 1860's or in Russia
before they arrived.
Does any one have suggestions as to the town origins (or any other origins)
of the name CORAK (other possible spellings include CORAK, CHORACK, KORACK,
etc.) in Russia or Eastern Europe >from the mid 1800's?
