The Poor Jews temporary Shelter database of around 50,000 entries has been
online for some years. This is hosted by the University of Cape Town,
(Isaac and Jessie Kaplan Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies), at
http://www.sansa.uct.ac.za/cgi/cgi_shelter.exe

Excellent descriptions of the Shelter and its role in assisting Jewish
emigrants ( mainly Jewish) in transit to South Africa, the USA and S.
America are on http://www.sansa.uct.ac.za/shelter/shelter.htm
