It is well to remember that the materials in the possiession of the Goldman
Center are those that were willed to it by Goldman, and cover those towns
and villages in which he was interested. They were his personal collection.
The Center does not, for example, possess records covering the former Lomza
Gubernia, the region of so many of our families, or so I was told when I
tried to use its facilities.
