archive of the postings to this Belarus SIG #belarus

Carlos Glikson

Larry Schenker asked "Is there an archive of the postings to this Belarus
SIG that goes back several years? If Yes, where is it located and can it be
searched?"

In http://www.jewishgen.org/ click - under Research - the link to
"Databases"

In the new page, under "General" click on "The JewishGen SIG Lists message
Archives - 1998-2003"

This will take you to "JewishGen SIG Lists Archive"
http://data.jewishgen.org/wconnect/wc.dll?jg~jgsys~sigspop

"JewishGen SIG Lists Archive" contains "all messages posted to the JewishGen
Special Interest Group (SIG) Mailing Lists since July 1998". You may search
by keywords in all SIG lists or in a specific one. If you leave the 'word or
words' to be searched in blank, you get a batch list of up to 500 messages
for the selected date range. Instructions are given on the page.

I am not sure if the postings of the day are instantly available... I
believe they are added in small batches and the most recent postings take
some time to enter the archive. Perhaps somebody may clarify this.

Hope this helps!
