Do your homework - use the Internet #general

Barbara Zimmer <bravo.zulu@...>

Dear Genners:
Before you ask us to find information about living people or those
who have recently departed, please consider doing a search yourself
using the Internet. Try using one of the search engines such as
Google or Yahoo and typing in your relative's name using quote marks
around the entire name.
Also remember to reverse the order; putting the surname first often
yields results in long lists of names or authors of books. Using a
telephone directory often yields the person's current telephone
number and address. Using some of the free genealogy sources (such as
Rootsweb) often provides information, sometimes family trees, etc.

If I can find your missing relative on the Internet, you can, too!
