Re: Canadian Census #general

The 1911 Canadian census data is a great source for location of relatives.
First the searcher must use the database of Canadian Archives. There are
instructions on how to search. Find the province: then the district: then
the subdistrict: then view the map. There is a wonderful set of maps that
are contemporaneous with the census. Viewers can be downloaded. Now the
trick is to correlate your relative's address with the district within which
the census was enumerated. If there was an Index of names, it would be a
snap! However this requires some tedious diggin.
