Bloodied Postcard from Ukraine, 1919, ViewMate 6549 #general
I would much appreciate if someone who reads Yiddish would translate this
postcard posted to View Mate:
The postcard, with an address in Russian to my great-grandfather, Boruch
Gherman (German), was written to him by, I believe, his son Noach Gherman.
My great-uncle Rafael Gherman was holding the postcard during a pogrom by
Ukrainian Nationalist forces in the village of Kunev, Ukraine, in 1919.
Please send all replies to me personally at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks so much.
