Ollie Cromwell,s Accountants #general

A few years ago I found in a dusty text book at Jews
College in London, a short reference to some
instructions given by Oliver Cromwell in and around 1650,
for two Jewish East End clerks to go to the garrison
town of Cork to investigate corruption in the
accounts of the food stores there. I was unable to
discover what they found or what they reported back
to him.
Were they the first to settle in the South of Ireland?
