IGS Tel-Aviv Branch & SIG Germany & SIG Eretz Israel - "The Missing Identity of Hildegard Dondorf #general

Rose Feldman <rosef@...>

Rony Goland is a lawyer and notary who helped Hildegard Dondorf find her
identity. Hildegard arrived in Palestine in February 1946 as a little girl on
board a ship. She was taken to a kibbutz and grew up not knowing who she is,
who her parents are or where she came from. During the years she tried to
find her identity, but came up with nothing.
About fifty seven years later she met Rony Golan, who revealed her true
identity and much more.

The meeting will take place on Monday September 12, 2005 at Beit Hatanach,
16 Rothschild Blvd. Tel-Aviv, at 19:00. The meeting will be in Hebrew. 20
shekel entrance fee for non-members. You are cordially invited to use our
library which is open >from 18:00-19:00, and consult other members about your
genealogy quests.

IGS is starting a new project of computerizing the 1928 Pinkas Bogrim of
Haifa. These lists are not the same as the 1922 census but do include
addresses. The list include only adults of voting age. A description can be
found at http://www.isragen.org.il/NROS/Research/CD2/Pinkas-Ha-Bogrim.html

Our effort of help to all those >from abroad looking for submitters from
Israel of Pages of Testimonies at Yad Vashem is a very exciting project. We
have received many emotional letters telling us of families (usually second
and third cousins) we have succeeded in reuniting. We update our list
continually. Please help us help others. Those lines that are white are the
lines that may you can help us with.
