SIMMONS and GROUSE Families #general

Jane Moulding

Dear Genners

I have had some success researching my SIMMONS and GROUSE family but in
order to progress I need to find anyone who may have details of the
following children of Mark SIMON (or Simmons) and Leah (nee Grouse)

Marie Simmons married a Phillip RAPHAEL (a cycle engineer) on 17 April 1901
at Paddington Registry Office in London.

Charles Simmons ( a rag merchant) last known address in 1891 was 11
Ganton Street, Golden Square, London.

Joseph Simmons, a cabinet maker, last found living in 26 Buckingham Palace
Road in 1893

Nathaniel Simmons, wholesale rag and furniture dealer assisstant, last found
in 1881 census living at 24 Clipstone Street;

Leopold (or Lipman) Simmons last address 1871 census
also 24 Clipstone Street, but witness at a wedding in London on 3 Jan 1883

David Simmons, also a woollen rag merchant, living with his sister, Rose and
her husband Michael Levenston, at 7 Frith Street in 1881

Isidore, still living at home with his mother at
6 Elgin Avenue in 1901.

I have - through JGFF - found branches of the Grouse family (originally from
Kolo in Poland with the transcribed surname varying >from GROIECKI, GROICESKI,
GROCICKI and even GRABOWSKI) living in Australia but wondered if anyone had
come across any living in England or the USA The Grouses I know about were
Joseph, Charles, Emanuel and Leah, all born around 1817 - 1830 and I can give
details of their children if necessary. There is also a Michael Grouse born
about 1819 who is also a sibling I believe.

I also have Louis Charles (son of Charles above) his wife Kate (nee JOEL)
and daughter Annette arriving in New York on the SS Paris on 3 November 1894
and Charles Grouse (son of Louis Charles and Kate Joel and grandson of
Charles born in Kolo, Poland) arriving in New York on the St. Louis from
Liverpool on 7 June 1915 .

If any of this rings any bells I'd love to hear >from you.

Kind regards
