Zeev ben Chaim. Zeev is the Hebrew for Wolf.

My guess would be that Honestman was originally Honesman. Hone is a female
first name and Hones' husband would be Honesman. That would mean that the
first man who took the family name had a wife well known in the community,
for example with several men named David, this would be the one married to
Hone, while another might be David Schwartz (dark David), and another David
Blau (light David), etc.
