Taking some more excellent advice >from my fellow genners, I did a search
of some Polish microfilms and I am looking for some advice on the results:
1. I have found microfilms for Konopiska where my KAMM ancestor was born
in 1824, I am therefore hoping that I might find the marriage banns for
his parents Abraham KAMM and Halka SZMUEL in the church records for that
area, I will let you know how I get on.
2. For my Posen ancestors, I have found a reference to the Microfilm of
the Naturalised Jews of Posen 1834/1835 I am assuming that this is a
reference to the same publication that Lars Menk and some others have
access to and have already provided me information from.
There is also reference to a list of Posen Jewish Families >from
1800-1850 FHL 1334544 which is in Hebrew and Yiddish, and I was
wondering if anyone had experience or information >from this film as I do
not speak or read Hebrew or Yiddish.
3. I have 2 ancestors born in Ogrodzieniec which I assumed was nr Pilica
as this is where one of their children was born. But it isn't. Does
anyone know what area the Jewish records for this town might be held
under as there are only church records listed on the FHC website.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer
all the best to you all
