I was fascinated by this discussion, since I never knew there were Jews
in Cotopaxi, Colorado. I wanted to add a coda in reference to the
origins of the Jewish community in Denver. In the early years of the
20th century, Denver was a center for the treatment of tuberculosis.
Jews >from crowded urban centers, who were most prone to the disease
ironically called "the Jewish asthma," were sent to Denver for treatment
that took advantage of the mountain air.
