Congregation Mount Zion, New York, NY History, membership officers and Rabbis #general

DickJ <dick@...>

I have reasons to believe that my family (surname BENJAMIN / FAUERBACH /
WEISSMAN / GOODMAN) were members of or perhaps officers of
Mt Zion in the period >from 1880 to 1920. Rabbi Greenfield performed a
ceremony at my Great Great Grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary according
to an article in the NY Times in 1907 (Phillip and Maria Benjamin) and
married my grandmother to Phillip Benjamins grandson in 1911 (Jacob Benjamin
and Gladys Fauerbach), he may also have been the Rabbi at Jacobs funeral in
1914 and was the Rabbi at my grandmothers second wedding to Harry Weissman
in 1916. Looking for any information on the Congregation its officers and
members or any photgraph relevant to the Benjamin or Fauerbach family.
Phillip Benjamin was Alderm and >from the 2nd CD (Delancey Street area) from
1880 to early 1900's. He died in 1915 outliving his grandson.
