I recently found my maternal Zayde's name listed in a manifest of the
ship Albano which arrived in Ellis Island on June 1, 1906 >from Hamburg.
My Zayde and his family came at various times to the United States >from
Dankere (Gostini) Latvia. He settled in Marietta, OH as did so many of
the Jews who came >from Dankere. He departed for the United States >from
Hamburg, Germany.
His possible birthplace is listed as Krenzburg. I would appreciate
if anyone can tell where Krenzburg was located.
